Palamedes is set to raise more than £2,000 for charity after sponsoring its managing director on a coast-to-coast cycle ride.
Jon Kirk will cross the UK, from the Norfolk coast to North Somerset, in a bid to raise “vital” cash for local good causes.
Kirk and his riding partner, Antony Neads, are expected to complete the 267-mile journey between Cromer and Clevedon in two days.
The ride is among a string of “charitable escapades”, which have included a sponsored walk from John O’Groats to Lands End.
He said: “I’m a fair-weather cyclist and I won’t have time to train, so I’m praying for flat roads, sympathetic traffic, and gorgeous sunshine.”
The ride is set to take place on the Easter Weekend – unless “the weather is bad”.
