London based agency Palamedes PR has joined the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association), the professional body that represents leading PR agencies in the UK.
Palamedes PR specialises in B2B PR and B2C PR news generation and, more specifically, generating big-impact brand exposure in the national and international media.
It is staffed by former national news journalists, and represents a varied client base in the property, tourism, book & publishing, and consumer PR sectors.
Palamedes PR was shortlisted for the PRCA Consumer PR Campaign of the Year in 2011, and its managing director, Jon Kirk, was appointed a judge for this year’s PRCA Awards.
The agency has now made the decision to join the PRCA because it sees membership as a key way to support growth.
It will now look to the coveted PRCA Consultancy Management Standard (CMS). Considered as the kite mark for PR excellence and professionalism, the CMS is an independently audited set of tests which a consultancy must pass as a member of the PRCA. It has been adopted by 15 international PR professional bodies and combines elements of ISO 9001 and Investors in People with criteria specific to the public relations industry.
A spokesman for Palamedes PR said: “We’re very pleased to have joined the PRCA, and look forward to a long relationship with the association.”
