Pearson Publishing has appointed Palamedes PR for a nationwide book PR campaign. The agency has previously promoted several Pearson titles including ‘Psychobabble’ by the TV psychologist Stephen Briers, pictured.

Palamedes PR, the book PR and news-generation PR agency, has been appointed by Pearson, the world’s largest education company and book publisher, to spearhead a national publicity drive.

The award-winning agency was selected on account of its proven track record in delivering effective book PR, and because of its ability to secure national exposure for its authors in the print, broadcast and online media.

The campaign will focus on securing big-impact exposure for a variety of new and forthcoming titles in the Pearson stable.

Pearson comprises three primary businesses – Pearson Education (digital learning, education publishing and services including Poptropica and eCollege); Financial Times Group (business information, including the Financial Times newspaper); and Penguin Group (consumer publishing, including the Dorling Kindersley and Penguin Classics imprints).

The company made the appointment this week following the success of previous project-based campaigns with Palamedes PR.

Anthony Harvison, the agency’s Campaigns Manager, said: “We have worked with Pearson on a variety of projects, and we are looking forward to working with them again on a long-term basis.”
