Sir Ranulph Fiennes, described by the Guinness Book of Records as the “world’s greatest living explorer”, has thrown his weight behind Britain’s Pacific Row 2014 attempt.
The polar explorer has lent his support to Alex Flynn and Darren Taylor, the two Britons who hope to row the Pacific this summer – thereby raising vital funds for charity and entering the record books in the process.
More information about Sir Ranulph’s support, and the Pacific Row 2014 challenge, will be added to this site in coming days.
A spokesman for the agency, which is supporting Pacific Row’s publicity interests, said: “It goes without saying that we are truly grateful to Sir Ranulph for his kind and generous support.”
