Palamedes PR was appointed by debut Lebanese-Canadian author Antonio Roy in January 2016 to promote his novel, A Promise – a work of historical literary fiction set during the Lebanese Civil War. We were tasked with securing exposure within national print and online media.

Given the subject matter of the book we devised a national news story about the Client’s insights into extremism within Lebanon, his home country. We also highlighted that the novel had been effectively banned in Lebanon because of its controversial depiction of an inter-faith relationship.

This book PR campaign secured strong national and international exposure, especially considering the author was previously unknown to the media and the book was self-published. Placements included a four-star review in The Sun, an exclusive news story for the Daily Mirror and book extract in Asharq Al-Awsat, the leading international Arabic newspaper. Each of the editorial products we created achieved 100% coverage with a combined reach of over 77million.
