We were first appointed by HarperCollins in 2009 to promote works by Cathy Glass, the international bestselling author and one of Britain’s most prolific foster carers. Our task was, and remained for the next three years, to generate consumer publicity for her misery memoirs and self-help/parenting books. Cathy Glass cannot be identified in photographs for legal reasons.

The agency has created numerous editorial documents for Glass’ titles, most of which were aimed squarely at the national daily media. In addition to compelling news content, consumer research, review proposals and releases, the agency also created digital collateral.

Over the years, Palamedes PR secured extensive regional, national, international glossy magazine, trade press and broadcast coverage, including extensive features, interviews and DPSs – in addition to numerous blogs and reviews, competitions and product placements – for Cathy Glass and HarperCollins. Cathy later scored a rare ‘double’ after two of her titles – Mummy Told Me Not To Tell and I Miss Mummy – both reached the Sunday Times Top 20 non-fiction paperback charts. We also secured columns and a Wikipedia entry for Cathy herself. Some of the publicity we generated includes:
