Palamedes PR has secured media exposure for the audiobook publisher AudioGO, it emerged this morning.
The agency’s story about the most irritating – and most loved – nursery rhymes has gained coverage in a variety of places including Frost Magazine and London News.
It also featured on AudioGO’s regional title, the Bath Chronicle.
The story, which was based upon a national survey of 1,000 parents, revealed how Michael Finnegan was named as the most irritating nursery rhyme of all time.
Its tune and lyrics were said to be so “utterly catchy” that mums and dads found it impossible to stop humming it for the rest of the day.
The nursery rhyme has ten verses but its ‘begin again’ line means it can continue on a perpetual loop.
Old MacDonald, meanwhile, was voted the nation’s parents’ favourite nursery rhyme, beating Row, Row, Row Your Boat, She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain and Pop Goes the Weasel to the top spot.
Rachel Josephson, AudioGO’s sales and marketing director, said: “What is clear, is that nursery rhymes still play an important part in bedtime routines – all of those polled said they read or sang at least one nursery rhyme to their children each day.”
A spokesman for Palamedes PR, which specialises in B2C PR and news-generation, added: “We are, as ever, grateful to these titles for the coverage.”
