This week marks the UK’s annual Anti-Bullying Week.
Organised annually by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA), Anti-Bullying Week aims to raise awareness of bullying and provides schools, parents, carers, children and young people with informational and tools to make a positive change.
This year, the week’s theme is ‘Change Starts With Us’.
Research by the ABA has found that almost one in five young people say they are bullied face-to-face at least once a week, while over a third of young people had experienced bullying online.
More than 90 per cent of teachers and pupils agree that Anti-Bullying Week makes an impact, helping raise awareness of bullying.
At Palamedes PR, we have worked with many authors over the years who have raised awareness of bullying in their books. More recent examples include children’s writers Sibel Beadle and Natalie Savvides.
