AudioGO, whose recent titles include The Hobbit and Margaret Thatcher: In Her Own Words, has appointed Palamedes PR for national brand-building

Audio book and digital entertainment leader, AudioGO, has called in the news-generation agency Palamedes PR to spearhead a national publicity drive.

Palamedes PR was selected on account of its proven track record for securing national and international exposure in the print, broadcast and online media.

The campaign will focus on national brand building through the on-going promotion of AudioGO’s 20,000-strong product catalogue and its new releases.

AudioGO, the UK’s leading audiobook publisher and retailer, which has offices in London, Bath, New York and Oregon, made the appointment this week.  The AudioGO catalogue includes exclusive rights to the BBC current and archive content, comedy, music-related, best-selling fiction, drama and celebrity titles.

It follows the success of a project-based campaign earlier this year. Palamedes PR generated national and international coverage for the brand and the rerelease of the Alfred Hitchcock: In His Own Words audiobook.

Anthony Harvison, the agency’s Campaigns Manager, said: “We are passionate about news-generation and bringing big-impact, creative PR strategies to the table. AudioGO is a fantastic brand with a vast catalogue of entertainment products, and we are very much looking forward to working with them.”

Rachel Josephson, Sales and Marketing Director at AudioGO said: “Following our recent acquisition of Blackstone Publishing in the States, we are investing in driving the digital books and entertainment category, focusing heavily on our pop culture content.  Palamedes will help us build a place for downloading and streaming in the consumer books and entertainment brands community.’

Since its formation in 2009, Palamedes PR has represented brands including WeightWatchers, Army Cadets, The Jelly Bean Factory and Simple. Current clients include HarperCollins and Pearson, the publishers; BM Trada, the UK’s largest certification body; Wynndel Property Management, the award-winning developer; Jasmine Birtles, the consumer finance expert and founder of; Monmouthshire Business Awards, Wales’ prestigious annual Awards scheme; GUBA, the Ghana UK-Based Achievement Awards; Petaround, the national petsitting service.
