Author and racial equality campaigner Anuranjita Kumar has been interviewed on BBC 5 Live.
Kumar, the Managing Director and Head of HR – Hubs at the Royal Bank of Scotland and a client of book PR agency Palamedes PR, was speaking on the station’s Wake Up To Money programme about new research into corporate diversity.
According to her independent research, black and minority ethnic (BAME) employees face routine discrimination by an “institutionally racist old boys network” that runs some of Britain’s largest companies.
Furthermore, the research suggests that BAME professionals are more than 90 per cent less likely to land a boardroom job than white applicants.
You can currently listen to the interview on the BBC Sounds website.
The findings were revealed for the first time this week at the launch of Kumar’s new book, Colour Matters? The Truth That No One Wants To See, which is published by Bloomsbury India.
