UK jobseekers pinch friends’ CVs, research by agency author reveals

CV police take note: 90% of jobseekers steal other’s CVs

The author Christopher Stoakes has received national and trade press media coverage following his research into the state of the UK job market, it emerged this afternoon.
Mr Stoakes, the author of Get To The Point and Is Law For You? found that 90 per cent of UK jobseekers copy other’s CVs to hide their own poor writing skills. Previous research also revealed how 60 per cent of lawyers wished they had embarked on a different career path.
The research has variously been featured in The Times (print edition), Business Matters Magazine, and HR Director. It follows earlier coverage that can also be found on this website.
