Entrepreneur has lockdown to thank for literary success

Radio interviews for bestselling author C.E. Okwera

Entrepreneur C.E. Okwera has been interviewed on radio about how she has lockdown to thank for becoming a bestselling author.

Ms Okwera, a client of book PR agency Palamedes, is the founder of project management consultancy, the Profyle Group, which she launched in 2010.

Like the majority of professionals, Okwera was impacted when the UK effectively shut down in March in a bid to stem the coronavirus pandemic – losing a contract with prestigious multinational accountancy firm Deloitte.

After the initial disappointment subsided, she decided to view the situation as a golden opportunity to revisit a series of books she’d written when younger.

After editing the novellas, she self-published the first, ‘Mr Davies’, in June to wide acclaim. Providing readers with the same “lockdown escapism” that it had provided the author, within two months it became an Amazon Bestseller, largely through word of mouth.

Okwera has since released the remaining three novellas in the series, which are in the mystery thriller genre and intended to be read within an hour, through her new publishing imprint, Profyle Publishing

We were able to secure a number of radio interviews for Ms Okwera to share her remarkable lockdown success, including the BBC.
