Dr Euan Ashley praises UK book PR agency Palamedes for its campaign promoting The Genome Odyssey
Our latest book PR testimonial, from Dr Euan Ashley, Professor of Medicine and Genetics and the Associate Dean at Stanford University, is now online.
Dr Ashley appointed UK book PR agency Palamedes to promote his work of popular science, The Genome Odyssey: Medical Mysteries and the Incredible Quest to Solve Them.
His book, published through St. Martin’s Press (an imprint of Macmillan Publishers), details the rapid advancement of genetic-based medicine and how this is transforming the lives of patients and their families.
Our book PR campaign for Dr Euan Ashley, included widespread national and international media coverage for a news story about a new “superhero” vaccine that will be able protect against three of the world’s leading causes of death.
The Genome Odyssey: Medical Mysteries and the Incredible Quest to Solve by Professor Euan Ashley is out now, published through St. Martin’s Press.
Dr Ashley, 49, who was born in Scotland, is widely considered to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on genetic medicine and is respected as a pioneer in the application of gene sequencing in medicine.
He is the founding director of Stanford’s Center for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease and its Clinical Genomics Program, and one of the heads of the Stanford Center for Undiagnosed Diseases.
Speaking about our campaign, an overview of which you can read here, he said: “Palamedes PR worked methodically and diligently to generate impressive media coverage for me and my new work of popular science, The Genome Odyssey.
“As part of this they took a complex subject – genomic medicine – and ran with it to develop a compelling news story aimed at the wider national media, provided under their coverage guarantee. I would recommend their services to authors without hesitation.”
