Author and espionage expert Antony Percy has appointed PR specialist Palamedes to spearhead a publicity campaign for his new book, Misdefending the Realm.
The agency will work with Antony on the promotion of the explosive title, which exposes a catalogue of failings within MI5 during the Second World War that left the famed counter-intelligence and security service vulnerable to Communist infiltration.
The author has uncovered a wealth of new research for the book, which is based on a doctoral dissertation he undertook at the University of Buckingham on Soviet subversion of British institutions during the time of the Nazi-Soviet Pact.
Misdefending the Realm will be published this October through the University of Buckingham Press.
Antony said: “Misdefending the Realm has been a feat of detective work as much as scholarly research, calling upon a wide range of sources to piece together for the first time a comprehensive analysis of a critical and controversial period in MI5’s history.”
Anthony Harvison, Palamedes PR campaigns director, added: “Misdefending the Realm is a scholarly tour-de-force that uncovers gross negligence and wilful deception within the UK’s Secret Service during the critical years of the Nazi-Soviet Pact.
“We are excited to be working with Antony on this campaign and look forward to bringing his important and eye-opening research the national attention it deserves .”
