Veteran national news reporter Tony Bassett appoints book publicity specialist Palamedes PR to promote his new spy novel
Author Tony Bassett has appointed book PR agency Palamedes to promote his forthcoming novel.
The agency will be working with Mr Bassett, a former national news reporter, on the promotion of contemporary spy thriller The Lazarus Charter.
The novel is set in the UK and features amateur detectives Bob and Anne Shaw. The story begins with Bob spotting a close friend alive at a London Underground station – five weeks after his funeral. The Shaws are confronted by sinister forces as they strive to discover the truth about the man’s changed identity.
The Lazarus Charter is a sequel to the author’s popular crime novel Smile Of The Stowaway, in which the same couple befriend a stowaway and then battle to prove him innocent of murder.
Mr Bassett is a former reporter for the Sunday People and during his career has covered thousands of stories for the national press, including the Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, The Sun, Daily Star, Daily Telegraph and London Evening Standard.
