Book PR agency Palamedes will be promoting self-help guide The Recovery Toolkit by Sue Penna
Book PR agency Palamedes has been appointed to promote a new self-help guide that provides a trauma-informed approach to recovering from domestic abuse.
The consultancy will be working with author Sue Penna, one of the UK’s leading national experts on trauma-informed domestic abuse recovery programmes, on the promotion of The Recovery Toolkit: A 12 week plan to support your journey from Domestic Abuse.
Penna has worked for over 30 years as a clinician, trainer and supervisor both within the NHS and independently, specialising in writing psycho-educational programmes that promote trauma-informed practice and recovery.
Penna is the founder and creative director of Rock Pool, which provides trauma-informed training programmes to frontline staff within the public sector, as well as voluntary and community sectors, working with victims of abuse.
She has written trauma-informed domestic abuse programmes including the Inspiring Families Programme, Adult and Children and Young People Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit, and the Sexual Violence Recovery Toolkit.
She has also devised the ACE (adverse childhood experiences) Recovery Toolkit, written for parents, and the ACE Recovery Toolkit for children and young people.
Her new book, which is out now, provides adult victims of domestic abuse with a proven 12-week plan to help them recover and move on with their lives.
