There has been a string of rave reviews for new novel The Sheriff’s Catch.

Written by award-winning author James Vella-Bardon, The Sheriff’s Catch is a gripping historical adventure focused on 16th century Spanish fugitive sniper Abel de Santiago.

Published by Tearaway Press, a client of book PR agency Palamedes, it is the first part of author Vella-Bardon’s The Sassana Stone Pentalogy.

The Sheriff’s Catch by James Vella-Bardon, published through Tearaway Press, has won a slew of literary awards including of Best Novel and Best Historical Fiction categories at the International Royal Dragonfly Book Awards.

Further installments of the pentalogy will be published later this year, while an audiobook adaptation of The Sheriff’s Catch, narrated by Jonathan Keeble, will be released next month. 

The book, which has won literary awards including Best Novel and Best Historical Fiction categories at the 2019 International Royal Dragonfly Book Awards, has been praised by a wide range of regional newspapers.

Reviewers variously describe the author as “destined to become the future king of historical fiction” and the novel as “gripping, vivid historical fiction told from an unfamiliar perspective.”
