Celebrating the British Sense of Humour on Holiday

Comic poet David Williams has written an exclusive thought-leader article celebrating the British sense of humour while on holiday.

In the article, which you can read here, David – a client of book PR agency, Palamedes PR – also shares a few poems from his new collection of light verse, Ghastly Holidays: Things my father never told me…, which is out now through Oort Publications.

As the title suggest, Ghastly Holidays is a laugh-out-loud record of Williams’ own worst holiday experiences. For every book sold, £1 will go to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity with the aim of raising enough money to send two ex-servicemen families on their own holidays to remember.

David, who is an executive director at Savills, the global real estate company, has previously published Filthy Creatures, a tongue-in-cheeky assortment of poems about the less appealing habits of animals such as wildebeest and mosquitos.
