There has been further national news coverage for Alitam Group CEO Feisal Nahaboo's vision for a chain of 'super pharmacies'

There has been further national news coverage for entrepreneur Feisal Nahaboo £1billion plan for the Pharmacy of the Future.

Further to coverage on the Daily Mail Online and This Is Money, our story concerning Alitam Group CEO Nahaboo’s vision to transform the pharmacy sector has now been reported by national newspaper Metro

Under the plan, the Alitam Group – one of the UK and Ireland’s largest pharmacy groups with more than 100 High Street stores – will bring a range of healthcare services, including midwifery and cosmetic procedures, under one roof by 2032.

The scheme will see dentists, opticians, physiologists, midwives, nurses and pharmacists working side-by-side in around 500 so-called ‘super pharmacies’.

In addition to prescriptions and over-the-counter treatments, customers will be able to pre-book in-store births, minor eye surgery, breast enlargement, facelifts, liposuction, and routine cosmetic dentistry.

Under entrepreneur Feisal Nahaboo’s £1billion plan for the Pharmacy of the Future, 500 so-called ‘super pharmacies’ will be created across the UK and Ireland offering everything from in-store births to cosmetic surgery.

Eye and blood pressure tests, dental check-ups and counselling will also be available on a walk-in basis without prior appointment.

It means that customers could, theoretically, receive a full-body MOT while they wait for a prescription.

Basic medical treatment will still be available for free on the NHS, whilst dental and cosmetic treatments will be less than half the price of private clinics.

In addition to national media coverage, there has also been exposure in the business sector, with the Pharmacy of the Future news story being reported in Chemist and Druggist
