To mark National Siamese Cat Day we look back to 2016 and headline-making news story about the purr-fect meal for pampered pusses
It’s National Siamese Cat Day today, and as such we thought we’d paws for a moment to reflect on the time we broke the news about the launch of the world’s most expensive cat food.
In 2016, Palamedes PR client Green Pantry, which manufactures 100% natural pet food for cats and dogs, unveiled it’s latest offering, ‘British Banquet’.
A luxury cat food for the “insanely rich”, British Banquet contained only the finest ingredients: Arenkha caviar, line-caught Scottish salmon, hand-caught Norfolk lobster, and locally-sourced Devon crab.
The “super-premium” fodder, which contained no preservatives, additives or artificial colours, cost nearly £750 for a month’s supply, or a staggering £9,000 per year.
The national media lapped up the story with placements including the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror. You can see all the exposure generated for the campaign on our consumer PR Success Story.
