Nominations are now open for the 2013 GUBA Awards, Palamedes PR is pleased to announce.

Now into their fourth year, the Ghana UK-Based Achievement Awards – a non-profit organisation backed by the Ghana High Commission – have become the benchmark of business and innovative success.

The GUBAs recognise innovation, achievement and enterprise within the UK’s 100,000-strong Ghanaian community.

Previous winners include the footballer John Mensah, the entrepreneur Roland Agambire, and the musician Mista Silva.

At least 1,000 entrants from a cross-section of industries are expected to take part in this year’s awards, which are free to enter and divided into 11 categories: Business of the Year; IIA Sustainability Award; Efie Ne Fie Award; Young Entrepreneur of the Year; Rising Star of the Year; Fashion Fusion Designer of the Year; Music Act of the Year; Ghanaian Association of the Year; Inspirational Personality of the Year; Unsung Hero of the Year; and Charity of The Year.
