Palamedes PR secured B2B coverage for the Monmouthshire Business Awards today.
The agency’s story about Dylan Matthews joining the judging panel at this year’s MBAs was published on the Hotel Owner within hours of distribution.
Mr Matthews, the Chief Executive of the Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales, will act as head judge and will cast the deciding vote in the case of a hung panel.
The winner of The Judges’ Choice Award, a new MBA Award category for 2013, will be determined by Palamedes PR’s clients Sylvia Marshall, the Daily Mirror columnist, and Jasmine Birtles, the TV personality and founder of MoneyMagpie.com.
Mr Matthews accepted the invitation earlier this year, but the appointment was kept “strictly under wraps” until its announcement last week.
“It’s great to celebrate the achievements of business in this area and to see the Monmouthshire Business Awards go from strength to strength,” he said.
“I’m delighted to have been asked to head the judging panel this year, but I know already that it’s going to be a very tough job for us to pick the winners from so many excellent candidates.”
A spokesman for Palamedes PR, which specialises in news-generation and B2B coverage, added: “As ever, we would like to thank Hotel Owner for its kind support.”
Janet Harris, the co-organiser of the Awards – dubbed the Oscars of the Welsh business industry – said the support of Celtic Manor Resort would prove invaluable, adding: “We are delighted that Dylan Matthews has chosen to support the 2013 Monmouthshire Business Awards.
“There can be little doubt that his support, and that of the Celtic Manor Resort, is testament to the quality of this wonderful annual event.”
