A website promoting the inaugural International Celebration of Dyslexia event has launched.
The one-day event, planned to run in August 2020, is the brainchild of dyslexia campaigner and author Karl de Leeuw, a client of book PR agency Palamedes PR.
A world-first, it will be the only event that celebrates the gifts of dyslexia and is aimed at inspiring those with the condition as well as helping change negative social perceptions.
Karl, author of guide The Dyslexia Code, first got the idea for the ICD event, which will take place in Birmingham, after his daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia when she was nine. He hopes to attract a number of high-profile dyslexics including entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson as guest speakers.
