Author and translator Giuseppe Cafiero, a client of book specialist Palamedes PR, has enjoyed a glowing review for his novel Mário de Sá-Carneiro – The Ambiguity of a Suicide.
The book forms part of the writer’s acclaimed ‘Ambiguities…’ series, which features semi-biographical and off-kilter accounts of the lives of great writers including Virginia Woolf, James Joyce and Edgar Allan Poe.
Described as a work of ‘bio-fiction’, a genre of Cafiero’s own creation, The Ambiguity of a Suicide investigates the suicide of the early 20th century Portuguese writer and poet Mário de Sá-Carneiro.
The review, which you can read HERE, praises Cafiero evocation of the “period and settings that shaped de Sá-Carneiro during his time in Lisbon and Paris”, and a “fitting sense of beautiful melancholy throughout the book”.
