Book PR specialist Palamedes PR has been appointed to spearhead a publicity campaign for author Paul Bognador.
The agency will be working with the British Jewish writer on the promotion of his non-fiction expose of supposed Jewish ‘hero’ Rezső (Rudolf) Kasztner, Kasztner’s Crime.
The shocking book, newly published through Transaction, argues that Kasztner, who is widely praised for having helped save thousands of Jews during the Holocaust, was, in fact, a Nazi collaborator who was complicit in the deaths of nearly half a million Jews in Hungary.
Bogdanor said: “Kasztner is treasured as a hero to many Jews, but new evidence suggests he was anything but.
“My research for the first time fully exposes Kasztner as a megalomaniac figure who wilfully collaborated with the Nazis in 1944 and was complicit in sending hundreds of thousands of Jews to their deaths at Auschwitz.
“My hope is to reveal Kasztner for the man he really was and to honour the memory of both his victims and the Holocaust survivors whose testimony against him has, until now, been deliberately buried or ignored. The truth must be known.”
Anthony Harvison, Palamedes PR campaigns director, added: “Kasztner’s Crime is arguably one of the most important history books to hit the shelves in recent years.
“We are delighted to be working with Paul in the promotion of Kasztner’s Crime and in helping further the debate on one of the most divisive Jewish figures of the Second World War.”
