Dyslexia campaigner and author Karl de Leeuw has appointed Palamedes PR to promote his plans for a world’s-first festival.
The agency will be working with Karl, author of guide The Dyslexia Code, to raise awareness of his plans for the International Celebration of Dyslexia event next year.
Karl, whose daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia when she was nine, hopes that the one-day event will help change social perceptions of the condition as “a gift, not a curse”.
The event is still in the early planning stages but is expected to take place in Birmingham and be attended by up to 16,000 people, as well as feature a number of high-profile dyslexics as guest speakers.
