Palamedes PR was initially appointed by AudioGO (formerly BBC Audiobooks) to raise awareness and drive sales of Hitchcock: In his Own Words. Our brief was relatively simple – at least in goal-related terms – in that the publisher required “significant” volumes of national and trade publicity. The success of this initial campaign – of which more below – led to our appointment on a permanent basis, at which point we were tasked with generating positive publicity for dozens of titles on a weekly basis.

The Consultancy produced compelling, PR-driven copy on a weekly basis that was variously destined for the national (and international) print or digital media, and/or for the national (and international) broadcast media.

The coverage we generated from our initial campaign was significant and was obtained within seven days of appointment. Placing a figure on true reach is difficult, but when calculated purely on readership and unique users, the initial campaign may have reached in excess of 250million people worldwide and resulted in significant sales and social media engagement. All copy we produced, for this preliminary campaign and for the duration of the ongoing campaign, included all key messages, URLs when required, product prices, availability.
