Campaign Type: Promotion of military memoir Seven Point Six Two
Objective: Palamedes PR was appointed by former soldier and private military contractor Gary Roberts to promote his debut book, military memoir Seven Point Six Two: The True Story Of Soldiers For Hire In Iraq. The agency was tasked with generating exposure for the title, released through Steel City Press, in UK men’s lifestyle media and on British radio. This was conducted under the Palamedes PR coverage guarantee, but in addition the agency also reached out to a wider range of UK-based media on a non-guaranteed basis, including titles within the regional press (in and around Sheffield, where the author is based) and military/security publications.
Results: Coverage in national men’s magazine Loaded.co.uk, Professional Security Magazine, the Sheffield Star and Yorkshire Post, as well as interviews for the client with BBC Radio Scotland (Newsdrive), BBC Radio Sheffield, BBC Radio Humberside, Radio Essex, BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Radio Suffolk.
