Palamedes PR was appointed in November 2018 by author Simon Leyland to promote his new book, A Splendidly Smutty Dictionary of Sex (Deep Desires Press). We were tasked with securing radio interviews and a national newspaper thought-leader article.

The Consultancy delivered the following services to support the Client’s aims:

  • We developed and distributed a newsworthy radio pitch
  • We worked with the Client to develop a thought-leader article based on the content of his book

The A Splendidly Smutty Dictionary of Sex campaign secured the following exposure:

  • A thought-leader placement with the Daily Star website
  • Radio interviews with 14 UK stations: BBC Scotland, BBC Nottingham, BBC Solent, BBC Cumbria, BBC Merseyside, BBC Bristol, BBC  Oxford, Swindon 105, BFBS, Swansea Sound, Gaydio, BBC Sheffield, BBC Humberside, Siren FM.

Each of the editorial products we created achieved 100% coverage with a combined reach of approximately 40 million. (This figure is based on the unique monthly visitor figures of websites and weekly listener figures of radio stations).
