The Westbury Mayfair Hotel, in Mayfair, London, appointed Palamedes PR in early 2011 to support its national and international PR efforts. The agency was tasked with generating ongoing publicity in the regional, national, international and trade media on a monthly basis. The campaign consisted of numerous individual projects; this case study showcases the results of one of those projects.
We became aware that an affluent guest may have left £500,000 worth of jewels in her hotel bedroom – something we knew would have worldwide media and public appeal. We set about bringing the story to the attention of the UK media through compelling news copy.
Within a few hours of breaking the news, the story was running on a wide variety of news platforms around the world. Within 24 hours, it had made most print editions, too. The results of this PR campaign included the following:
Daily Telegraph (Print Edition and Online)

“The Westbury Mayfair Hotel selected Palamedes PR because of its credentials and because of its proven ability to position and publicise brands on a large scale.”

This campaign-within-a-campaign was incredibly successful, not only for the coverage it generated (which is substantially more than that listed above) but also because of the short space of time it took us to achieve it. It was a case of over-delivering on our promises – something we do each and every time.
