Palamedes PR was appointed by Wynndel Property Management with the ground-up promotion of Severn Quay and Naturally Woodlands, two luxury, multi-million pound developments in south Wales. Objectives included national media coverage, industry publicity, and ongoing exposure within the wider regional and lifestyle media.

The agency provided full-service, holistic PR, marketing and advertising support that variously included, but was not limited to:

From an editorial perspective, the Consultancy secured positive media coverage for 100% of its editorial products, with more than 75 pieces of national, industry and regional articles/page leads in this time. This included key placements for estate agents and suppliers connected with the developer. National coverage was broad but variously included exposure in The Times and Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, Homes and Gardens, Escape Magazine, The Daily Telegraph, Daily Express, Daily Express Scotland, Yahoo! and many, many more. Regional coverage was diverse and included the South Wales Argus, Chepstow Review, Western Mail, Western Daily Press, Monmouthshire County Life, and many others. Media Visits
The agency’s work resulted in visits to both developments from members of the national, regional and trade press, resulting in positive and extensive publicity that included all salient USPs and key messages.

Celebrity Visits, Open Days & Launch Parties
Visits were made by a number of prominent figures, including the then Secretary of State for Wales, Mrs Cheryl Gillan MP, who made a landmark visit to the Severn Quay marketing suite. The visit, a first for the region, culminated in extensive publicity for the development in a variety of key-target publications.

Other figures of note included eco-designer Oliver Heath, the star of BBC’s DIY SOS, BBC’s Changing Rooms’, Dream Homes (Discovery), ITV’s Front of House, From House to Home (Channel 4), BBC Home Front, and others. Oliver said Severn Quay was an “incredible piece of waterfront design” and described Naturally Woodlands as “magical”. His visit, which was captured on video, culminated in broad publicity.
Launch parties, which included events outside/away from the developments, each resulted in broad and positive publicity. Open Days resulted in significant regional exposure.

Property Awards
The developer won a number of industry awards and many more accolades during its representation by Palamedes PR. Naturally Woodlands became home to what is believed to be the most celebrated property in recent Welsh history after one its homes was officially recognised as the Best House in England and Wales in the What House Awards 2012. It went on to receive nominations for a further three awards, and was named as one of the UK’s Top Investment Hotspots by the Daily Telegraph. Yahoo! described the development as one of the best modernist homes in the world.
Wynndel Property Management also won Company of the Year, and The Judge’s Choice Award at the Monmouthshire Business Awards for two year’s running.

Advertising & Collateral
Palamedes PR worked alongside the developer’s Advertising Director to purchase cost-effective media space and, when necessary, provide advertorial and native placements. Collateral was (and still is) used by the developer and its associates. The investment video we created can be viewed here.
