No yolk: exposure just in for world’s first “inter-religious” Easter egg

The agency has secured key consumer PR coverage for its client India Dining and the world’s first Easter egg…for Hindus.

Our story about the Vishneaster Egg is running live on the Surrey Mirror website.

The Egg is made with curry-flavoured chocolate and inside the shell are tiny scrolls containing sacred texts from both the Vedas, the ancient Hindu scriptures, and from the Bible.

Its centre is filled with chocolate gold coins and other auspicious items associated with the world’s third-largest religion.

It was developed by India Dining owner Asad Khan in order to make the traditional Western egg a more inclusive, inter-religious treat.

The £29.99 egg goes on sale today at India Dining, Warlingham, to mark the arrival of Easter and the annual Hindu festival of Vishu.

More coverage is expected in coming days.

This time last year the restaurant unveiled the world’s hottest Easter egg called ‘Not for Bunnies’ – equivalent to 400 bottles of Tobasco sauce.

If you’re a member of the media and you’d like to try the Vishneaster egg or the ‘Not for Bunnies’, contact Palamedes PR and we’ll arrange for one or both to be delivered within 24 hours.
