A big thanks to the South Wales Argus for Walking With The Wounded coverage
Palamedes PR is supporting WWTW’s South Pole Allied Challenge by promoting a post-challenge fundraising event at The Celtic Manor Resort this month
Palamedes PR would like to thank the South Wales Argus for supporting Walking With The Wounded’s fundraising visit to Newport this month.
The paper has publicised the event on April 25 on its website, here.
Members of the British team who trekked to the South Pole with Prince Harry will visit the Celtic Manor Resort on April 25.
Explorers Guy Disney, Kate Philp and charity co-founder Ed Parker will make a guest appearance at a fundraising gala.
The trio endured temperatures as low as -45C and 50mph winds during last year’s 335km South Pole Allied Challenge in aid of the injured sericemen charity, Walking With The Wounded.
They hiked for between 15km to 20km per day with fellow team member Prince Harry, pulling sledges weighing in excess of 70kg in a bid to reach the southernmost point on the globe.
Parker, Disney and Philp will be joined by the Paralympic world record holder Danny Crates, who will host the exclusive event. People will have the opportunity to meet and be photographed alongside all four personalities.
Tickets, which are limited, cost £59 and are available from today by e-mailing Janet@janetharris.co.uk. All profits will go back to Walking With The Wounded.
