The acclaimed Warhammer writer will be releasing a new type of thriller, Skane
Book PR agency Palamedes has been appointed by bestselling author Ben Counter.
The consultancy will be working with Mr Counter on the promotion of his forthcoming thriller, Skane: A Thriller in Verse.
A gritty contemporary tale of violence and vengeance, it marks something of a departure from the fantasy genre that made his name, with the author previously being largely associated with the hugely popular Warhammer series of novels published through Black Library.
A passion project, Skane is an original IP that is, unusually, told in a mixture of poetry and prose.
Mr Counter, who studied Classics at university, says that he has chosen this form to reconnect modern readers with the roots of narrative fiction in poetry, as found in the works of Homer and Virgil.
