Author Julia Engelhorn appoints Palamedes PR to promote her moving memoir, Precious Scars
Book PR agency Palamedes has been appointed by author Julia Engelhorn to promote her moving memoir in the national media.
The consultancy will be working with Ms Engelhorn on the promotion of Precious Scars, which recounts her search for meaning and healing after unimaginable loss.
In April 2016, Julia went to pick up her three children from the home of her ex- husband Mario Deus, where he had been taking care of them over the Easter holidays.
Although it had been a difficult couple of years, Julia hoped that with the divorce finalised they could get their relationship on a better and more stable footing for the sake of the children.
Nothing, however, could have prepared her for what happened that day. For in a sick act of revenge over Julia’s decision to divorce, her ex-husband had murdered twins Octavia and Maximo. They were just three years old.
Mario Deus took his own life while in prison awaiting trial.
Julia, who is now based in the UK, has since sought to rebuild her life with her eldest son, César, her partner Iiro Seppänen and their daughter Freya.
Precious Scars recounts her slow and painful healing from the tragedy, and with the aim of helping other parents who have gone through their worst nightmares to “find a new normal”.
