Latest Book PR Testimonial – George Lee

Author George Lee praises book PR agency Palamedes

Our latest book PR testimonial, from author George Lee is now online.

The Chinese-Canadian author appointed book PR agency to promote his award-winning debut novel, Dancing in the River.

A powerful memoir in fictional form, Dancing in the River recounts Lee’s traumatic experiences growing up amidst China’s infamous Cultural Revolution.

The 2021 winner of Canada’s prestigious Guernica Prize for Literary Fiction, the novel charts his inspirational journey surviving the “ideological indoctrination and brainwashing” of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) under the leadership of Chairman Mao.

In particular, it reveals how the discovery of Western literature, which was banned until the death of Mao in 1976, led to the author’s personal growth and spiritual enlightenment.

In writing the novel, which is out now, Lee hopes to build bridges between the West and China at a time of increasing ideological divide.
