Palamedes PR Appointed By The London Centre for Applied Psychology

Founders of The London Centre for Applied Psychology appoint book PR agency Palamedes to promote new therapy guide

Book PR agency Palamedes has been appointed by the founders of a leading psychotherapy training company to promote their forthcoming debut book.

The consultancy will be working with psychotherapists Graham Johnston and Matt Wotton, founders of The London Centre for Applied Psychology (LCAP) – which provides evidence-based training to fellow mental health professionals.

Prior to launching the LCAP, Mr Johnston was Director of Policy at The Bowlby Centre, the UK’s leading training institution in attachment-based psychotherapy, and previously he spent two decades as an adviser and operational lead for the British Government, specialising in home affairs.

Mr Wotton, meanwhile, was Chair of The Bowlby Centre and, prior to that, operated in the criminal justice system in a coaching and advisory role, including leading the review of Race in the Criminal Justice System (The Lammy Review).

Their forthcoming non-fiction title, A Straight Talking Guide to Getting Good Therapy & Counselling, will be published later this year through PCCS Books.

Aimed at the general public, it sets out the problem with accessing good-quality private therapy in the UK, and offers jargon-free, practical advice into finding a respectable therapist based on the evidence of what works.

For all media requests, including interviews with co-authors Graham Johnston and Matt Wotton, or review copies of A Straight Talking Guide to Getting Good Therapy & Counselling, contact publicist Anthony Harvison.
