Julia is interviewed about PreciousScar.Org on That's TV

Author Julia Engelhorn has been interviewed on TV about the launch of her new online support hub for grieving parents.

Julia, whose three-year-old twins were tragically murdered in 2017, has appeared on That’s TV discussing the creation of PreciousScars.org

She created the first-of-its-kind platform, which provides guidance to parents who lose children at the hands of abusive partners, following the deaths of her “angelic” three-year-olds, Maximo and Octavia, in 2017.

They were allegedly killed by her ex-husband, Mario-César Deus Yela, in what she describes as a sick act of post-divorce revenge.

Deus Yela was arrested but took his own life in prison while awaiting trial in 2019.

Julia, an artist and qigong teacher, says that coming to terms with the tragedy was made more difficult because of a lack of online resources.

PreciousScars.org aims to fill that “informational void”. It is designed for parents, family members and carers whose children or siblings have died through – or who could be at risk of – serious violent crime at the hands of a close relation.

The site has dozens of informational and instructional articles written by Julia herself. It is free to access and includes links to victim support agencies, grief counsellors, helplines, and national charities.

Julia was also interviewed by the BBC on Mother’s Day about the tragic loss of her children and how she hopes PreciousScars.org helps others on their own healing journeys.

The latest coverage comes just days after the story of her website’s launch generated national newspaper attention.
